Extra-Curricular Activities
As the cartoons have been so slow to appear recently, I thought i'd share with you all what i've been doing beyond The Elsewhere. It's been a busy couple of months, and i've been drawing cartoons for a variety of different projects.
I've done another strip for the webcomic philanthropist, Mr. Rouse-Deane. That'll be appearing in April, and i'll post it up here when he puts it up on his site. I've also completed doing the cartoons for an online game for Philips Shavers. They sponsor the ATT Williams F1 team, so the company I work for has produced their website, and provided game to play as competitions. That should be going live soon, so i'll post that up later.
But for now, the big marquee tent pole attraction is the wonderful site for British Heart Foundation. As many may well know, i'm a webdesigner by trade and a cartoonist by hobbyist. So I was very heavily involved in the creation of this site. I created all the characters (besides Sick Rick, the purple suit angry faced thing) and several of the buildings, which were then handed over to 3D Designers, and then animated in the environment. It's been great seeing my doodles brought stumbling into life, and one I hope I get another chance to do. So far the site's been featured in countless magazines, including Creative Review, and bizarrely enough Hello (a career high, obviously). It's also one a few awards, including Site of the Month in Web Designer Magazine, not least FWA Site Of The Day. Needless to say i'm dead chuffed.

Tag onto that, my upcoming appearance in the legendary Jamie Smart's 'Fatchunk Vol.1' and 2008 seems to be squaring up nicely. Now all I need to do is pull my thumb out my butt and start getting cartoons for your enjoyment and perusal. Should be one coming your way in the next day or two.
Cheerio!
